Save yourself some trouble with these Diamond Back Alloy Wheels with Raleigh Whitewall tyres pre-installed by us. All ready to fit to your old school BMX restoration. We also fit two quality innertubes and a chrome 16T freewheel . Sold as a pair, front and rear.
Diamond Back Alloy Wheels
Assembled by Raleigh in Nottingham. Diamond Back branded hubs with 10mm (3/8") axles front and rear. Anodised Black hubs & rims with stainless silver spokes or Anodised Silver hubs & rims with stainless spokes. Please note that for some old school forks you will need to "flat" the front axle with a file. We can do this for you for a charge.
Raleigh Whitewall Tyres
Made for Raleigh by Duro. Perfect for your authentic 1980's freestyle restoration. This is what we used before dedicated Freestyle tyres from Tioga & Panaracer became available in the later 80's. We even experimented using these on race bikes on the rear - so I guess we were about 30 years too ahead of the game on that one ;) See photo of Mike Pardon running skinwall one of these at Redditch 1982.
16T Freewheel
4-JERI or similar 1/8". Use with 44T front chainring.
PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS ON THE RIMS THERE ARE SOME LINES AND SMALL MARKS ON THEM. THIS IS DUE TO HOW THEY ARE HAND BUILT IN THE UK AND SHIPPED TO US IN BULK. IT DOES NOT DETRACT FROM THE PERFORMANCE OF THE WHEEL AND THE RIM WILL HAVE MARKS FROM THE BRAKE PADS AS SOON AS YOU USE THE BRAKES ANYWAY. IF THIS MIGHT BE AN ISSUE FOR PLEASE ORDER SOMETHING ELSE LIKE THE SE RACING WHEELS THAT WE SELL OR WE CAN BUILD YOU A CUSTOM WHEEL. BUT NOT AT THIS PRICE OBVIOUSLY ;) THANKS.
