Lloyds National BMX Race Series 2026 - Rounds 3 & 4

The Alan's Factory Supercross team made the trip to Glasgow for Rounds 3 and 4 and what a weekend it turned out to be, Standout performances from top to bottom of the roster, some brilliant A final results, and a couple of riders making real strides forward in their series campaigns. Here's the full rundown.
Luke Barron - Male 7 | Round 3: 1st | Round 4: 2nd
Luke continues to be simply outstanding. A dominant win in Saturday’s A final - getting two 1st in his motos, 1st in his semi and 1st in the final - it was the performance of the weekend, and he backed it up with another A final appearance on Sunday, finishing 2nd. Luke has now podiumed in every single race of the 2026 season. He would be right at the top of the Male 7 standings and looking every inch a series title contender if British Cycling bothered to let them compete! Exceptional.
Hattie McGoldrick - Female 8 | Round 3: 3rd in | Round 4: 3rd
Hattie was beautifully consistent across the Glasgow weekend, finishing 3rd among Female riders on both days in the merged class - this time merged with the younger Female 7s. Hattie continues to hold her own and is a credit to herself and the team. Back-to-back 3rd place age category finishes across the weekend - and indeed across all four rounds so far - shows a rider who continues to develop and competes with real heart. Well done Hattie.
Flick Brentnall - Female 9 | Round 3: 9th | Round 4: 4th
Flick had a weekend of real progression. After finishing 1st in the B final on Saturday, she stepped it up significantly on Sunday with a brilliant 4th place finish in the A final. That is her best result of the season and a real confidence booster. Flick is clearly finding her rhythm at national level and the team is super excited to see what she can do in the rounds ahead.
Alice Barron - Female 10 | Round 3: 7th Overall | Round 4: 6th Overall
A solid and improving weekend from Alice in the Female 10 A final. A 7th place on Saturday was a strong return, and she backed it up with an even better 6th place on Sunday - moving in the right direction across the weekend. After a tough opening weekend in Manchester, Alice has responded brilliantly and is now a consistent A final presence. That upward trend is exactly what the team wants to see. Keep it going Alice!
Olly Bird - Male 11 | Round 3: 10th | Round 4: 13th
A mixed weekend for Olly. The results belied the performance as some real pace was evident on both days but on this occasion, he couldn’t quite make it stick. More aggression on track is starting to show, combined with some intelligent problem solving in race technique. A 2nd place in Saturday’s B final for 10th overall showed the pace he has, but Sunday was tougher with a 5th in the B final for 13th overall. There is real ability there so keep pushing Olly, lets get some A final presence as the series continues.
Finlay Munro - Male 12 | Round 3: 3rd | Round 4: 2nd
Another superb weekend from Finn. Round 3 brought a 3rd place in the A final then on Sunday after going through the motos unbeaten, 1st in the quarter final and 1st in the semi - he came home 2nd in the A final, a fantastic result. Finn has now finished on the podium in four out of four rounds this season and is firmly in the mix for the Male 12 series title. He has the skills to do it, now he just needs to get focused and build belief in himself - he is growing in stature with every race weekend.
Lexie Cairns - Female 15 | Round 3: 11th | Round 4: 12th
A tough weekend for Lexie, who didn't progress beyond the motos on either day in Glasgow, finishing 11th on Saturday and 12th on Sunday. It's worth remembering that Lexie is still rebuilding her confidence following her accident last year, and simply being back on the start line at national level takes real courage. The ability is there - it has never been in doubt - and as that confidence continues to grow, the results will follow. The whole team is behind her every step of the way.
Todd Smith-Notman - 15-16 Cruiser | Round 3: 9th | Round 4: 3rd
Todd's progression this season has continued, despite his laid back attitude and loss of enthusiasm. After finishing 1st in the B final on Saturday - he came storming back on Sunday to claim 3rd place in the A final. That is a tremendous result and a real statement of intent, although it seems he may have only been putting the effort in as a result of bribery - nice cap Todd! Keep going Todd - you’ve got the skills - now we just need you to get your head back in the game!
Jayden Green - Open 17-18 | Round 3: 12th | Round 4: 7th
A tough Saturday for Jayden, finishing 4th in the B final for 12th overall after a tricky run through the motos and quarter finals. He bounced back well on Sunday, making the A final and finishing 7th. Getting back into that A final will have done Jayden the world of good after a difficult Saturday, and it's a much better points return to take away from Glasgow. The 17-18 class is no easy ride and Jayden will be looking to build on that Round 4 result heading into the next rounds.
Lea Pendleton - 30+ Female Cruiser | Round 3: 7th | Round 4: 9th
Lea continues to show up and give it everything, as she has done throughout a racing career stretching back to 1984. A 7th place on Saturday was a solid return, and while Sunday saw her finish 1st in the B final for 9th overall, she was competing and fighting for every position as always. Lea's consistency and experience remain invaluable to the team, and she'll be looking to get back into the A finals in the rounds ahead.
Stephen Notman - 55+ Cruiser | Round 3: 3rd | Round 4: 2nd
What a weekend for Steve, a 3rd place on Saturday was a strong start, but he went one better on Sunday with a brilliant 2nd place - his best result of the season so far. Stephen has now lined up in the A final in all four rounds of the series and is accumulating points with real consistency. Currently lying 2nd in the rankings. The 55+ Cruiser class is competitive and Stephen is right in amongst it. A fantastic weekend for him.
Weekend Summary
Glasgow delivered some of the best racing our team has seen so far this year. Luke and Finn continue to be the riders of the series in their classes and Stephen Notman is quietly putting together an outstanding season! For me, Stephen Notman’s Sunday 2nd place was the moment of the weekend - he was so focussed and he smashed it. It’s so exciting to see real momentum building across the squad, yes we are bottom of the Elite league but we refuse to play the BC games and look forward to times in the maze of gazebos on the infield next season. We are all just here for enjoyment and fun and we just want to support riders on their BMX journey.
Rounds 5 and 6 at Gosport are next - the team will be ready.
