Originally just a T-shit design I wanted to do, inspired by the Katherine Hamnet classic as popularised by Wham! in the 80's, our CHOOSE BMX T-shirt sends a positive message about BMX at a time when it feels like it needs it. We've been at this for 45 years and while BMX waxes and wanes, we're as stoked about it today as we were in 1981.
The story behind this is, we had a few printed up to see how they'd go and decided that 100% of all profits from this t-shirt were to go towards supporting grass-roots BMX events in the UK. We took them up to Round 2 of the British Cycling Freestyle National at 4Motion in Darlington, people loved them and we sold out of many sizes instantly. Clearly the message of supporting BMX and the proceeds going straight back in to events resonated with riders.
After that success we decided we could make into a proper thing, but at the core we knew it had to be fully transparent - so everyone knows where any monies go to and we had to make it easy to apply. The website will festure a counter showing how much money it has been raised and will list where the funds have been allocated.
As of June 2026, we are just about to get a restock of this design which we'll call the Classic and we have a second design in the works. If you have any designs, ideas or would like to partner with the project in some way, please do get in touch with us, we're hoping to expand the range.
