DP Racing FAQ
We've done our best to answer the most common questions about the new DP Racing frame kits and bike.
What Is Available?
In this first run we expect to produce 50 of each Firebird Freestyler frame/fork/bar kits of each colour, Chrome and Metallic White, these will numbered 1-50.
How Much Are They?
The frame, fork and Ladder handlebar are £999.99 in the UK with VAT, plus delivery (unless you collect in store*). We are still finalising the price of the complete bikes, but we expect them to start from £1499.99.
When Can I Buy One?
The launch date is Saturday 27th September. Pre Orders will go live at the Launch Event around 18:00 (6pm) UK time, customers paying in full will have the chance to pick their own frame number 1-50 of each colour (either bike or frame) and will receive an exclusive Blueprint of the kit with their selected number and authenticated by Neil Park, additionally they will receive an exclusive DP cap only available to these supporters. The event will be live-streamed on YouTube then will be available to view later. Immediately after the livesteam at approx. 19:00 (7pm) UK time orders will be open on alansbmx.com for those not there in person.

Do I Have To Pay In Full Now?
To enable to project to go ahead, although we have had unprecedented interest in these, we really need your support to make this actually happen. Neil and John have spent over 2 years and thousands of pounds to get to this point, we now need your help to get it over the line. So if you are able to help buy purchasing a frame kit or a complete bike in full, this will go to ensure the project goes ahead and you will be part of it’s legacy.
What Do I Get If I Pay In Full Now?
If you pay in full you will get:
1. Your choice of frame number. Customers at the event will be given a raffle ticket, which when drawn will allow you pick your number of frame kit or bike 1-50. Online customers will be able to select from the numbers available whether they are ordering a frame kit or a complete bike.
2. Blueprint with your selected frame number, signed by Neil Park.
3. Exclusive DP Racing cap, made by AS Colour and hand printed by Huddersfield Screenprinting Co. This special cap will only be made available to these supporters. For UK customers not there in person the blueprint and the cap will be posted out to you the following week. For overseas customers your Blueprint and cap will be despatched with your frame/bike.
4. Priority despatch when the frames arrive.
Can I Pay a Deposit?
There will also be a £500 deposit option on the frame kit and the bikes, however frame numbers are not selectable with these, but you will still receive a numbered and signed Blueprint when you get your frame or bike.
What Do I Get If I Pay a Deposit Now?
Your frame or bike will be secured for £500 deposit, the balance payable in full when the frames arrive Spring 2026.
When Will It Be Delivered?
If production starts on schedule and there are no delays, we being told the kits will be with us in March, but as you know things happen, that’s why we are just saying “Spring 2026” right now. We will know a more accurate date in the new year. Obviously, the complete bikes will take a little longer, as we will be assembling these by hand here in Wigan once the frames arrive.
Where Do You Ship To?
We ship worldwide, sales tax is removed for our overseas customers. Duties, tax, etc are payable at your end if delivering outside the UK.
Can I Collect In Person?
Yes you can, please select *Collect in Store when you place your order.
What Parts Will Fit?
It uses all standard modern BMX freestyle parts: 1 ⅛” integrated headset, Mid bottom bracket, U-brakes (front is removable), 25.4mm seatpost, 14mm rear dropouts and 10mm fork dropouts.
Can I Run 44-16 Gearing?
No, the bike is made for modern park and street riding and as such is designed to use a 25T or 28T front sprocket in conjunction with a 9T driver rear wheel. This gearing, despite looking small, is a similar ratio and feels like the old 44-16 when riding it.
Is There a Complete Bike?
Yes, we’d love to build or supply the parts for your own custom one-off dream build, but we will also be offering 3 complete bike builds as follows, pricing to follow:
Neil Park Spec Elite model with spoked wheels
Neil Park Spec Elite model with Skyway Tuff Wheels
Privateer model with spoked wheels.
Is There a Purchase Limit?
There is no limit to how many you can buy, you are only limited by the amount of stock we have, so providing the website shows stock you could in theory buy one of each colour frame kit and a complete bike as well should you wish.
