PRESS RELEASE
3rd October 2025
Here at Alans BMX, we are all about the Custom. However, when a customer came to us wanting to create a modern all-gold Hutch Trick Star, inspired by Factory Hutch rider, Woody Itson's 24k Trick Star from 1985, we took customisation to a whole other level.
In this first YouTube episode Tom starts laying out the scope of this project staring with removing a new Trick Star from the box, completely stripping it down and preparing the steel parts for powder coat and the alloy parts for anodising. Episode 2, up next week, will show you what everything looks like when it comes back from finishing, the assembly, and finally finished bike. Be sure to put on some shades!
Alans BMX is based in Wigan, in the north-west of England. Founded in 1981 and still run by AlanWoods, former UKBMX National Champion and inaugural British BMX Hall of Fame Inductee (Pioneer Racer). Despite the current state of the industry, we are as stoked on BMX as we've always been and everyone here works damned hard towards our goal to help grow BMX. We cover all aspects of BMX from old school to new school and everything in between, including racing, flatland, park, street and Bikelife.
2026 marks our 45 year anniversary and we have some special stuff planned, including events and some very special limited edition colabs with our favourite brands.
We ship Worldwide!
