The new Rootdown is a continuation of a story that has been evolving ever since Chromag first started making hardtail frames over 20 years ago. We love the simplicity and purity of hardtails and revel in how capable and versatile they can be. The Series VI represents everything we’ve learned and evolved into this model to date! The Rootdown can be a bike for almost any type of ride and if you are looking for a 29er hardtail that delivers confidence and versatility in some of the most demanding terrain, the Rootdown is ready to deliver.
The Series VI carries forward the tried and tested geometry the Rootdown is known for with all sizing spec. remaining consistent to the previous version.
Built with our custom-drawn tubes and featuring a 12x148mm Boost rear end and stealth post routing, this is the evolution of Chromag frame design in 29er form, compatible with tires up to 29" x 2.5 and 27.5+ up to 2.8 wheels. An agile ascender and a dominant descender that is ready for anything.

What are the delivery times?
We offer multiple shipping options for UK customers including Royal Mail Tracked 48/24 services, UPS Next Day and UPS Saturday delivery. You can find these at checkout.
For international customers shipping times may vary depending on location and the size of your order. You can get shipping prices at checkout automatically after adding your shipping address and local UK VAT is removed from your order. Do the bikes arrive pre-built or will they need to be assembled?
Bikes arrive in a flatpack state and require the Handlebars, Seat, Pedals, Accessories and adjustment by a qualified cycle mechanic for the warranty to be valid. We do offer our Ready2Ride service where we build the bike here at the shop from our mechanics, adjust everything and keep your warranty intact, all you need to do is turn the bars straight and attach the pedals and you are ready to shred! There is an additional cost due to the oversize box and you can find this as an option on the product page or contact us.

We ship worldwide and offer shipping to many countries including USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan and many many more
Shipping is calculated at checkout once you put your delivery address in, AlansBMX will contact customer about pre paying import fees and duties after your order is placed.

We remove our local UK VAT but you will need to pay import fees at the border of your country. Unfortunately AlansBMX cannot calculate these import fees as they are specific to your country.
Do you offer finance?
We offer finance options at checkout for our UK customers from multiple providers, At this time we cannot offer finance to international customers.
