GT Slammer Mercado Bike Raspberry / Black Fade Flatland Edition

When you boil it down, Flatland is where you learn your bike handling skills, just look at it's influence in modern street riding and even park. You can do Flatland anyway pretty much, a garage, empty parking lot, etc. However, flatland is specialised and building a bike from scratch is not cheap (but, hey, we can do this for you of course if you wish).

But if you just want to dabble in Flatland, then check out this GT Slammer Mercado which we took and added:

• Gyro and gyro tabs.
• 4 steel pegs BRAND MAY VARY (with griptape, supplied loose so you can decide whether to fit or not).
• Long 400mm alloy micro adjust seatpost. Original 200mm seatpost included.

All in all these additions would normally cost you about £90. If you want to go a bit further you could add some narrower flatland specific tyres here. Having said that,  not all Flatland riders use narrow tyres, so the stock ones will be fine, at least to start until you figure out your preference.

PLEASE NOTE: These bikes DO NOT come with a front brake included, if you need a front brake please contact us for options.

PLEASE NOTE: This frame has a Translucent paint finish which means you can see the welds and anything else through the paint. It is generally not as durable as solid paint and can scratch easier. Additionally, the steel can develop sort of spider-web marks which of course you can see through the translucent paint, this is all part of the effect in a way, but we are just making you aware it. If this isn't for you, we'd suggest a non-translucent paint finish.  

The GT Slammer has the aspiring Olympic skatepark rider in mind, presented here in Pro rider Albert Mercado's signature colourway. The frame's geometry is quick and  responsive, allowing the bike to handle easier as the young rider builds up their strength. Items like sealed mechanism 14mm axle, sealed cranks, 9T cassette hub, and adjustable railed saddle are the little details that will allow this future champion to practice with confidence.
