Haro 1983 Gen 2 Freestyler Survivor Bike Chrome
Haro 1983 Gen 2 Freestyler Survivor Bike Chrome
It's not every day that you come across something like this. An all-period-correct 1983 Haro Gen 2 Freestyler, made by Torker in Fullerton, California. Only the grips & chain are new.
Of course you don't us to tell you how important the Haro Freestyler is in the history of BMX. Every single currently-day freestyle bike can trace it's DNA back to this bike. It's where freestyle started.
Adam, our mechanic has been through the bike, regreasing the headset and hubs, fitting a new freewheel, inflating the tyres and giving it a light clean up. If you planned on riding it we'd recommend new tyres, as 40 year old rubber is probably past it's best.
The frame & fork itself is in very good condition, chrome is not bad (for 41 years old), some pitting please see photos, we haven't made any attempt to remove any surface rust. All the stickers are original and the dropouts are great. I have just decoded the frame number and it is TKK5008F revealing that it was made in December 1983, so it is a Gen 2 (welded gusset).
