Mirage Cycling are excited to showcase our BMX specific inner-tubes, designed in the UK for use on BMX tracks.
TPU tubes have been used in road cycling for some time and have a proven advantage in racing as rolling weight can be effectively reduced by between 5 to 10 times its actual value depending on rotational speed.
The issue with all the TPU products out there is they are not designed for the rigours of the BMX track, 0.1mm is way too thin for a more offroad application with most tubes tearing on installation and don’t respond well to heat generated by calliper brakes.
The Mirage BMX tube is manufactured thicker at 0.3mm making it much stronger in withstanding what a track has to throw at you. They can be used with disc or calliper brakes.
Early trials of this product proved an instant hit with riders actually feeling the difference. I cannot overstate how important the rolling weight is, imagine saving 10 times what your 180g rubber tube costs you in acceleration down the start hill.
Marginal gains win prizes but this might just be more than marginal.
Includes 2 x repair patches with each inner tube
Sizes:
20 x 1 1/8th - 1 3/8th Junior tube, 451mm in diameter weighing in at 39g and comes with an 80mm Presta valve for use with deep carbon rims as well as standard alloy rims.
20 x 1.5-2.1 STD BMX tube, weighs in at 47g and comes with a 60mm valve suited to both Presta and Schrader hole sizes.
24 x 1.5-2.1 Cruiser BMX tube, weighs in at 57g and comes with a 60mm valve suitable for Presta or Schrader hole sizes.

What are the delivery times?
We offer multiple shipping options for UK customers including Royal Mail Tracked 48/24 services, APC Overnite and Saturday delivery. You can find these at checkout.
For international customers shipping times may vary depending on location and the size of your order but are usually 2-5 working days worldwide. Do the bikes arrive pre-built or will they need to be assembled?
Bikes arrive in a flatpack state and require the Handlebars, Seat, Pedals, Accessories and adjustment by a qualified cycle mechanic for the warranty to be valid. We do offer our Ready2Ride service where we build the bike here at the shop from our mechanics, adjust everything and keep your warranty intact, all you need to do is turn the bars straight and attach the pedals and you are ready to shred! There is an additional cost due to the oversize box and you can find this as an option on the product page for bikes 20 inch or smaller or contact us.
