Mongoose 1981 Motomag Bike Nickel / Blue

Old School BMX 1981 Mongoose nickel Frame & Forks. March 1981, original nickel plated, with team repop decals minimal rust inside the gusset and under the triangular box which is nice to see, would polish up very well, excellent nickel plating for 42+years as being used and not NOS.. All straight, no bends or cracks, no postcode marks or engraving... No chain rub, the usual rear wheel clamping marks, some of the decals are lifting on the corners, but can be glued back.

This is a one-off total custom build, assembled here in-house in Wigan with all new parts here by our expert mechanic Adam. Of course the new - now sold out - Motomag wheels take pride of place on this build. Dia-Compe brakes front and rear, iconic Kashimax Aero seat, along with a hand-picked selection of parts ensure that bike will turn heads! Looks stunning in the sun, take on rideouts or hang in your mancave.

Mongoose was such an important brand in BMX, especially here in the UK - they were the very first "real" BMX bikes we had here back in 1980 and I had a Supergoose myself back then. 

PLEASE NOTE: All our old school bikes are built for collectors and cruising around on/ride outs, they are not designed for track or freestyle use. Haro's Lineage series and the GT Heritage Pro Performer bikes are the ones to go for if you plan on doing some serious BMXing. If you have any questions about this, please ask.
