BMX Brake Cables FAQ

Brake cables make a huge difference to your braking system. Wether thats just replacing with a fresh set for smooth operation, or upgrading to a linear compressionless housing for stronger power transfer and better lever feel with less binding on sharper angles.

Standard Brake Cable: Coil wound outer housing compresses when braking is applied to give a more modulated brake feel

Linear Brake Cable: Compression-less housing removes spongy brake lever feel, give maximum power transfer and doesnt bind as easily when wrapped around the stem. Ideal for those who dont use a gyro but want to do barspins and tailwhips or are running a front brake setup where the cable angles can be quite sharp.

What are the delivery times?

We offer multiple shipping options for UK customers including Royal Mail Tracked 48/24 services, APC Overnite and Saturday delivery. You can find these at checkout.

For international customers shipping times may vary depending on location and the size of your order but are usually 2-5 working days worldwide. You can get shipping prices at checkout including taxes and duties automatically after adding your shipping address for a total landed cost of your order. Do the bikes arrive pre-built or will they need to be assembled?

Bikes arrive in a flatpack state and require the Handlebars, Seat, Pedals, Accessories and adjustment by a qualified cycle mechanic for the warranty to be valid. We do offer our Ready2Ride service where we build the bike here at the shop from our mechanics, adjust everything and keep your warranty intact, all you need to do is turn the bars straight and attach the pedals and you are ready to shred! There is an additional cost due to the oversize box and you can find this as an option on the product page for bikes 20 inch or smaller or contact us.

We ship worldwide and offer shipping to many countries including USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan and many many more

Shipping is calculated at checkout along with customs and duties once you put your delivery address in for smooth and fast delivery via DHL.
